FTP Protocol

For Versions At or Above WordPress Auto-Provision Module v3.0 and WHMCS Auto-Provision Module v1.2

FTP or FTPS (SSL Explicit): This method will use either the standard unsecure FTP transfer method or the SSL Explicit transfer method, if your remote server is configured for it. The standard port for this transfer protocol is 21.

- FTPS (SSL Implicit): This method will attempt to establish an implicit SSL connection to the remote server. The remote server must be properly configured to accept this transfer method. The standard port for this transfer protocol is 990.

- SFTP (SSH): This method will attempt to establish a Secure Shell (SSH) connection to the remote server. The remote server must be properly configured to accept this transfer method and the user account being used must have SSH connectivity rights. The standard port for this transfer protocol is 22.


For Versions Below WordPress Auto-Provision Module v3.0 and WHMCS Auto-Provision Module v1.2

FTP: This method will attempt to establish a standard unsecure FTP connection to the remote server. The pre-configured port for this method is 21.

- FTP_SSL: This method will attempt to establish an explicit SSL connection to the remote server. The remote server must be properly configured to accept this transfer method. The pre-configured port for this method is 21. Please see FTP over SSL for configuration requirements.

- FTP_SSH2: This method will attempt to establish a Secure Shell (SSH) connection to the remote server. The remote server must be properly configured to accept this transfer method and the user account being used must have SSH connectivity rights. The pre-configured port for this method is 22. Please see SSH2 for configuration requirements.


For IBG App Installer Modules

FTP: This method will attempt to establish a standard unsecure FTP connection to the remote server. Port number is configurable.

FTP_SSL: This method will attempt to establish an explicit SSL connection to the remote server. The remote server must be properly configured to accept this transfer method. Port number is configurable.

FTP_SSH2: This method will attempt to establish a Secure Shell (SSH) connection to the remote server. The remote server must be properly configured to accept this transfer method and the user account being used must have SSH connectivity rights. Port number is configurable.
